The Invitation

As a highly esteemed member of APO or GSS (as the case may be), you are cordially invited to attend a mixer which will be given by GSS on Saturday, March 6, from 03:00 to 12:00 P.M. at Farley Lodge. (COLOR IT YELLOW)

At Farley Lodge, there is a fireplace. On Saturday night, there will be a fire in that fireplace. (COLOR IT sparkling and glowing and throwing off bright beams of light ...that is, if the strong, virile males from APO firewood.)

In a corner of Farley Lodge, there will be a record player. Music will be floating from that record player. (Color it soft, romantic, delicious titillations of tone...or...VIBRATING? PULSATING? THROBBING spasms of sound.)

In another corner of Farley Lodge, there will be a refreshment table. (COLOR IT YUMMY.) On that refreshment table, there will be a punch bowl filled with purple punch ...AND NOTHING ELSE. There will also be crispy, crunchy, crackly means of oral gratification on that refreshment table. COLOR THEM chips, Fritos, marshmallows, and cookies.) Also, on that table you will find (if we are to be honored with YOUR presence), an EXQUISITE array of cups, plates and napkins. (COLOR THEM PAPER)

In the middle of Farley Lodge, there will be: PEOPLE. Oh, and what people. They will be doing many strange things. (COLOR THEM... well, use your imagination.)

During the course of the evening, there will be an extra special surprise. (COLOR her a FOLK SINGER.... if she shows up.)

Rumors have been circulating around' campus that there is a person without whom NO party is a success. (COLOR that person YOU.)
